Ultherapy® is a non-invasive, FDA-cleared skin-lifting treatment from Merz Aesthetics that uses microfocused ultrasound with real-time imaging. Your provider sees the layers beneath your skin on screen while treating, so energy is placed at the right depth — including the SMAS, the same foundational layer addressed in a surgical facelift. Ultherapy is FDA-cleared to lift the brow and the skin under the chin and on the neck, and to improve lines and wrinkles on the décolleté — with no incisions and no downtime.

HOW ULTHERAPY WORKS
See Before You Treat
Ultherapy has built-in real-time ultrasound visualization (DeepSEE®). Your provider views the tissue layers on screen and confirms the depth before each line of treatment, instead of treating blind.
Microfocused Ultrasound at Three Depths
Dedicated transducers deliver energy at 1.5 mm, 3.0 mm and 4.5 mm — the superficial dermis, the deep dermis and the SMAS — so the lift is built from the foundation up, not just at the surface.
Thermal Coagulation Points
Each pulse creates tiny, precisely placed points of heat beneath an untouched skin surface. These trigger the body’s natural repair response, contracting existing collagen and starting new collagen production.
A Lift That Builds Over Time
Some tightening may be noticed early, but the main lift develops over 2–3 months as new collagen forms, with results that can last a year or more. Results vary from person to person.

Can Ultherapy replace a facelift?
No. Ultherapy is designed for mild to moderate skin laxity. For more advanced laxity, a suture-suspension thread lift or a surgical consultation may be a better fit — we will tell you honestly at consultation.
How many sessions are needed?
Most patients need one session. Some benefit from a second treatment depending on their degree of laxity and how their skin responds.
Is this genuine Ultherapy or generic HIFU?
It is genuine Ultherapy® from Merz Aesthetics, with real-time imaging. Generic HIFU devices use similar focused ultrasound but treat without visualizing the tissue layers.
